According to Enzuzo Data Privacy Statistics, 38% of responders use their social media less than before because of privacy concerns.(Husain, 2024) In addition, many users of social media companies and data companies had apprehension about privacy. As the social media market expands, private data becomes important information to companies but also to individuals who are using algorithms to display their contents or products. But to accomplish the goal of disclosure, companies must use and analyze the private data from users, elevating concerns regarding privacy. As a result, innumerable users of social media reached consensus about private data protection. However, gathering data is an inevitable way to provide quality of services. In order to assure online user’s data, companies and the government must come up with satisfactory regulations to alleviate users’ concerns.

A.I. Market is growing exponentially fast supported by the enhancement of personal electronic devices such as cellphones and laptops with enough hardware to operate the A.I. program. However, A.I. has faced bountiful problems about privacy after its convenience and accessibility became known to the general public. According to the data policy survey held in 2024, “73% of users have a higher concern than last year.” Furthermore, “66% of people are feeling stressed due to privacy control by companies or the government “(Husain, 2024). Such statistics present distrust towards data management run by artificial intelligence.

Algorithms adopted by many IT companies allow viewers to encounter advertisements that are fitting to viewers based on the personal statistics. Personal data and information gathering includes age, interests, gender, country, etc. This allows companies not only analyze the trends and show advertisements but also helps other consumer companies to get data for a future plan.

Even though collecting personal data has an advancement due to analyzing big data, a large number of internet users are concerned about companies using their personal data in different ways. As mentioned above, personal data include bountiful information, but users are concerned about how deep the companies are collecting the data from us. Users fear that this data collected by companies could be sold and influencing their decisions or even their identities. Furthermore, as everyday devices are involved, microphones attached to a device also collect data and transfer to the database, resulting in growing awareness of data breaches. It is integral to first look over what problems the artificial intelligence market is encountering.
